Pinot Blanc

Pear, Peach, Raw Almond, Lemon Zest, Crushed Gravel

Synonyms: Pinot Bianco, Weissburgunder, Weisser Burgunder, Beli Pinot, Klevner (Alsace), Blanc Vrai (Champagne)

For many years this varietal has often been confused with Chardonnay, however it is a mutation of the Pinot Noir varietal. Commonly grown in Germany and Northern Italy it is an easily ripened variety that has good cold resistance. It is an underrated varietal that produces friendly, floral medium bodied wines that have a confident character about them. Do not shy away from a Pinot Blanc wine and enjoy it with subtle foods like a creamy soft cheese platter or with a nice summer salad.
