Nahe

Nestled between Mosel and Rheinhessen, Nahe is one of Germany's smaller wine growing regions. It has a cool continental climate but it is slightly warmer compared with other regions in the country. Despite the small area, it has a wide variety of soils and growing conditions. Almost three quarters of the plantings here are Riesling. Other varietals include Müller-Thurgau, Dornfelder, and Silvaner. Nahe is known for producing wines with a lower acidity but with much riper fruit flavours and minerality.
