Lazio
Lazio, an Italian wine region located in the central part of the country, is the home of the ancient capital Rome. The region has a long history of wine-making and more than 200 different grape varietals exist in the region alone. The volcanic hills in the area aid in producing complex and distinct wines, and over the last 2 decades wine-makers have been taking advantage of these rich soils, seeing a rise in exceptional quality wines emerging from the area.
