The true spiritual home of Vermentino is Sardinia. The best examples of dry Sardinian Vermentino wine combine zingy flavours of green apple, grapefruit and lime with notes of honeysuckle and white flowers. Its most distinctive characteristic is the slightly bitter finish, which is reminiscent of green almonds or citrus pith.
On Saturday the 22nd of January, we will be opening 3 different Sardinian Vermentinos to taste alongside each other. Andrew Moody from David Mullen wines will be our special guest between 11am - 2pm, and he will guide passers-by on the variety, region and nusances of each wine.
