November Recommendation

This Austrian Holzer rosé Pétillant Natural, named “Raw Rosé”, is really a special product and a rule-breaker with its 500 ml flip-top bottle. This is a different kind of Rosé, which is best popped open and enjoyed in the Spring sunshine. Red berries, sparkling freshness, lightness and drinking pleasure – that’s what this wine is about. An ideal Spring picnic companion.

"Pétillant Naturel"

Naturally Sparkling

This genre of sparkling wine, known as pétillant natural, or pét-nat, is made by a method so old that the French term for it is “methode ancestrale.” While classic champagne requires several years of ageing, pét-nats are released younger and often taste wilder and more open than champagne. Thanks to the bottle fermentation and natural yeasts, pét-nats display a range of exciting aromas.

THE REGION

Wagram

Wagram is located in North-eastern Austria and is one of Austria's sixteen official wine regions. The climate is cold and the soils are mineral-rich. This terroir is ideal for growing Grüner Veltliner, the region’s most well-known varietal, and helps develop rich, full-bodied white wines with creamy textures.
