Roussanne
When you hear Marsanne you often hear Roussanne closely followed. Making its home in the northern Rhône Valley, where it is most famous for its still white wines made in partnership with Marsanne that come from Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage and Saint-Joseph. Although it is not easy to grow it, the grapes are more aromatic than Marsanne, often with a refreshing bouquet akin to herbal tea reminiscent of spring blossoms, and has a high acidity, hence this wine is far superior to age than its partner Marsanne. Now growing popularity and planted in more wine regions in the world it is starting to become more common to see blends with this stunning variety.
