Pinot Grigio

Pinot Grigio, also known as Pinot Gris, is a member of the Pinot Noir family. Its' two different names originate from the two countries in which it is most commonly grown: Italy and France. The Italian style, Pinot Grigio, has made a name for being light and crisp, ideal for early drinking and is most famously known in the regions of Veneto and Friuli. France's Pinot Gris, is grown in the Alsace region and is generally known for being a rich, full-bodied white with a smooth, silky texture. In Australia, Pinot Grigio/Gris grows in premium regions, from the coolest sites to the warmer areas. It’s a deliciously diverse variety, with styles ranging from elegant, crisp and zesty to more textured, silky and complex. It pairs with oysters, scallops, prawns, light fish and chicken dishes.
