The change of seasons, calls for a change of drinking! This red blend is fun new take on a more traditional style of wine from the Côtes du Rhône. Sourcing their fruit from all over Western Australia you get a dynamic blend of Frankland River (Shiraz and Mourvèdre), Margaret River (Tempranillo) and a splash from the Perth Hills (Shiraz). This blend immediately shows power, with intense fruit characters of blackberry and plum with savoury, earthy notes. Juicy tannin and dark fruit envelops the palate with each mouthful. A wine that evolves in the glass over time and shows new delicious layers with every sip. The perfect winter warmer for you whether it is served with your favourite comfort food or on the couch under a blanket with Netflix.
Western Australia’s most famous wine region was established by Dr. Tom Cullity at Vasse Felix in 1967. Quickly followed by Moss Wood and Cullen. Today, Margaret River has over 150 producers on widely varying soils with the region’s best reds coming off the ironstone gravel. Within the region, areas such as the Wilyabrup Valley—a warm maritime climate—are the beating heart of Cabernet plantings. Though famous for Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Shiraz shine here too.
