Less than an hour from Melbourne, the Macedon Ranges is home to spectacular undulating hillsides with rich vegetation and wonderfully perfumed wines that are diverse and light to medium bodied. The vineyards here grow at high altitude, from 300-800 metres above sea level which makes the Macedon Ranges the coolest grape growing region on mainland Australia. The area is known for producing exceptional Pinot Noir, Riesling, Chardonnay, and cool-climate Shiraz.
