"Pétillant Naturel"

Naturally Sparkling

This genre of sparkling wine, known as pétillant natural, or pét-nat, is made by a method so old that the French term for it is “methode ancestrale.” While classic champagne requires several years of ageing, pét-nats are released younger and often taste wilder and more open than champagne. Thanks to the bottle fermentation and natural yeasts, pét-nats display a range of exciting aromas.

Adelaide Hills

Located around 25 kilometres east of the state's capital Adelaide, the Adelaide Hills is one of Australia’s oldest wine-producing areas. The region is characterised by valleys, steep hillsides, a cool climate and a vibrant wine scene with over 90 wine labels and 50 cellar doors.
