Literally meaning 'St George's grape', this varietal is native to the eastern part of the Peloponnese in Greece. Agiorgitiko is extremely versatile and can create a wide range of wine styles. Sometimes used in blends alongside other varieties, styles also range from fresh, fruity rosés to full bodied, tannic reds. The wines from Nemea are full-bodied and are exceptional. Pairs well with roast meats and spicy cuisines.
